Exemplar Status in Portering

As Managing Director I am incredibly proud to share that Synchronicity Care Limited has achieved Exemplar Status against the NHS England Portering Standards for Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital North Durham.

This is far more than an award or accreditation. It is national recognition that our Portering service is delivering at the very highest standard and demonstrates our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Porters are often the unsung heroes of our hospitals. They are there every hour of every day, ensuring patients reach the right place at the right time, supporting emergency care, theatres, diagnostics and wards, transporting vital equipment and specimens, and playing an essential role in the smooth running of our hospitals. Quite simply, high-quality portering services help keep patient care moving.

Achieving Exemplar Status is only possible through the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of our colleagues. It reflects a culture where people take pride in what they do and are committed to delivering the very best service for patients, visitors, and clinical teams.
